Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is looking for a Pavement Marking Technician II to operate pavement marking equipment for road construction and maintenance projects in Albuquerque, NM. The role requires attention to detail, safety, and the ability to work in various weather conditions as part of a collaborative team.

You will apply striping plans, maintain equipment, and communicate with contractors and inspectors to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Drug test required.
• Must complete ATSSA TCT intermediate training.
• Must complete ATSSA Pavement Marking intermediate training (if mandated).
• Ability to read plans and implement traffic control plans.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and DOT/state motor carrier regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to place paint, thermoplastic, and other pavement markings.
• Prepare work areas, transport materials, and operate company trucks for job site logistics.
• Implement striping plans and perform layout, including intersection markings.
• Lift and move pavement marking supplies and signs as needed.
• Inspect and maintain pavement marking equipment for reliability.
• Complete daily paperwork and verify specifications.
• Follow safety rules to ensure a safe work environment.
