Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Pavement Marking Technician II to drive and operate pavement marking equipment on road construction and maintenance projects. You will apply paint and thermoplastic markings, prepare work areas, and transport materials to job sites in varying weather conditions.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and drug test per DOT requirements, and wear proper safety gear.

Qualifications

Must have valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
Wear safety gear including boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and vest.
Completion of ATSSA TCT intermediate training appears required.
Completion of ATSSA Pavement Marking intermediate training (if mandated).
Ability to read plans and maintain traffic control plans; comply with regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate pavement marking equipment to apply paint, thermoplastic, and other markings.
Prepare work areas, transport materials, and operate company trucks for job sites.
Implement striping plans and perform layout including intersection markings.
Lift and move materials; install signs, delineators, posts and supports.
Maintain and repair equipment; perform shop work as needed.
Communicate with contractors and field inspectors; supervise field personnel.
