Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a Pavement Marking Technician to drive and operate pavement marking equipment for road construction and maintenance projects. You will ensure precise application of road markings, follow safety protocols, and maintain equipment.

The role requires adaptability to weather and strong teamwork with contractors. Applicants must hold a CDL, be able to pass a background check and drug test, and complete ATSSA training.

Qualifications

• CDL required; must obtain CDL Class B within 60 days of employment.
• Must pass a background check and a drug test per DOT requirements.
• Wear PPE and safety equipment at all times on site.
• Must complete ATSSA TCT intermediate training and Pavement Marking training if mandated by state.
• Ability to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented and maintained.
• Knowledge of federal/state motor carrier safety regulations and roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate pavement marking equipment to apply paint, thermoplastic, and other markings.
• Prepare work areas and transport materials; operate company trucks.
• Implement striping plans and finish layout including intersections.
• Lift and move construction materials; install signs and delineators.
• Apply and remove reflective tape; install thermoplastic and cold applied plastic.
• Maintain and repair pavement marking equipment; perform shop tasks as needed.
• Communicate with contractors, inspectors, and supervise field personnel.
• Complete daily paperwork and verify specifications; follow all safety rules.
