Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, based in the United States with a Denver focus, is seeking a Pavement Marking Technician to drive and operate pavement marking equipment for road projects. You will follow safety protocols, work in varying weather, and collaborate with contractors to ensure precision and efficiency.

The role requires a CDL Class B within 60 days, ability to read plans, and DOT regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B within 60 days of employment.
• Must pass a background check and drug test per DOT requirements.
• Wear safety gear: boots, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest.
• Complete ATSSA TCT intermediate training.
• Complete ATSSA Pavement Marking intermediate training if mandated.
• Read and apply traffic control plans and road plans.
• Knowledge of state/federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Ability to read plans and operate delivery vehicles of varying sizes.
• Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds; secure cargo as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate pavement marking equipment to apply paint, thermoplastic and markings.
• Prepare areas, transport materials, and manage job-site logistics.
• Implement striping plans and lay out intersections and markings.
• Lift, carry and unload construction items and equipment.
• Install/remap delineators, signs, posts and supports as required.
• Install heat tape and reflective tape per specs.
• Apply Cold Applied Plastic or Preformed Thermoplastic per job specs.
• Maintain all marking equipment and perform shop repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors and field personnel.
• Complete daily paperwork and verify specifications.
