The City of Richmond, Virginia's Department of Public Works - Traffic Engineering Sign Division seeks a Maintenance and Operations Crew Chief to oversee pavement marking maintenance and quality control.

You will supervise staff, schedule projects, coordinate with divisions, inspect work, and ensure safety and compliance while engaging with the public on right-of-sign issues. This essential role requires flexibility for emergencies and after-hours work.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of college or specialized training in area of focus.
• 2 years equipment operation/driving experience or related maintenance experience.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience as approved.

Mansioni

• Oversee pavement marking installation and maintenance work.
• Inspect crew work, provide guidance, and submit reports.
• Supervise staff, schedule assignments, and evaluate performance.
• Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with other divisions and departments.
• Recommend priorities and requisition materials and supplies.
• Interact with the public regarding right of sign maintenance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Essential personnel: may require after-hours and emergency work.
