Job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, hard working, and reliable Pavement Marking Technician with good work ethics to join our team. You will be responsible for performing pavement maintenance and pavement markings in parking lots and/or roadways.

Responsibilities

• Drives company vehicles to job sites.
• Operates hand guided striping equipment; thermoplastic hand liner equipment; crack sealing equipment; seal coating equipment; hand guided grinder; and tape machine.
• Assists with loading and unloading materials and equipment on vehicles.
• Assists with cleaning gravel; rock; dirt; sand; grass; oil; grease; antifreeze; etc. from surfaces.
• Assists with mixing paint and filling striping machines and thermoplastic kettles.
• Assists with installing various signs; wheel stops; and temporary pavement markers.
• Assists with cleaning job site area; equipment; and tools at the end of each day.
• Assists with cleaning vehicles (inside and out).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school education or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience with crack sealing; seal coating; and striping.
• Ability to read; write; and speak English.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Must be able to read and understand parking lots and/or roadways blueprints.
• Must be able to work weekends when necessary.
• Must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Knowledge of layout a plus.
