Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter to support the Emergency Department's patient flow.

The role focuses on moving patients safely between rooms and procedures, ensuring comfort, dignity, and timely transport to keep hospital schedules on track.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire date (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience required.
• Professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

• Maintain transport equipment, ensuring stretchers and wheelchairs are sanitized, inspected, and ready for use.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education
