Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Transporter to move patients, specimens, medications, and records. You will follow strict pickup/delivery schedules, respond to stat deliveries, and support safety standards during transport.

The role requires good verbal and written communication, basic computer skills, and a High School Diploma or GED. CPR certification within 90 days is expected where required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read write and perform arithmetic; required and essential.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days or as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to pickup and delivery schedule for patient results and medications.
• Delivers messages, packages, and medical records to offices and departments.
• Maintains orderliness and safety of transport equipment and area.
• Observes patient condition during transit and notifies nursing staff as needed.
• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and ensures patient safety.
