Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR certification required within 90 days (AHA or Red Cross).
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between departments and to/from patient care areas using wheelchair, stretcher, bed, and other transport equipment.
• Respond to transport requests with urgency to meet delivery goals.
• Ensure patient safety by following procedures and using approved equipment.
• Communicate with hospital staff to meet patient needs and resolve issues.
• Handle medical equipment safely (IV pumps, oxygen tanks, chest tubes, catheters) during transport.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients and staff and ensure timely responses to requests.
