Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and follow policies.
• Ability to read/write in English and use a pager/telephone.
• Basic arithmetic and chart/record handling.
• Comfort with hospital environment and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and belongings safely by wheelchair or stretcher between hospital locations.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and transferring patients; ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Document transport times, destinations and patient information; communicate with staff.
• Prepare and restock transport supplies; maintain clean equipment and work areas.
