Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking aPatient Transport/Valet attendant to greet patients and visitors, assist with luggage, and guide them to designated areas within the facility. This role involves safe operation of transport vehicles and maintaining clean, safe surroundings.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. BLS certification within 6 months is preferred and on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 6 months is preferred.
• Experience in hospital, hotel, restaurant, or customer service is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients/visitors upon arrival to the facility.
• Assist patients/visitors with luggage and in/out of vehicles.
• Process valet claims and safely valet park vehicles.
• Direct patients and visitors to parking areas and facilities.
• Support registration of patients and visitors as needed.
• Provide education and resources about essential support services.
• Operate vehicles safely for transport of passengers, equipment and materials.
• Inspect and maintain transport equipment for safety and readiness.
• Monitor front drives for clear fire lanes and no-parking zones.
• Adhere to policies and participate in training and meetings.
