HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Logistics Specialist to manage intake of new referrals, coordinate transfers and admissions, and provide timely status updates to Emergency Departments, inpatient and community settings. You will facilitate bed availability and coordinate transport while prioritizing rapid response and patient flow.

The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work onsite in the Patient Logistics Center with weekend

Formación

• 2+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
• Call Center/Transfer Center/Bed management experience helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Responds to phone calls with urgency and strong customer service.
• Gathers initial information to open new case and prepares clinical information for clinicians.
• Locates resources and coordinates information to support patient disposition or admissions.
• Maintains active inventory of bed availability for non-HCA bed placements.
• Accepts, tracks and facilitates hospital transfers and transports via phone and systems.
• Provides updates to customers on status of patient cases.
• Schedules discharge transports and supports rapid response to requests for services.
• Assesses situations using clinical reasoning to aid patient flow through the continuum of care.
