Job summary

Charleston Area Medical Center is seeking an Access Coordinator to facilitate patient admissions and transfers through the Transfer Center. You will coordinate internal and external placements, utilizing Cerner applications to open beds and assign patients.

The role requires an Associate's Degree (or equivalent) with nursing experience and strong communication skills to liaise with physicians and care teams across CAMC hospitals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's Degree required; 3 years of related nursing experience preferred.
• Substitution: formal nursing program may substitute for Associate Degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admission/transfer of patients within CAMC Transfer Center.
• Communicate with referring providers, CAMC physicians, and transport teams.
• Maintain bed availability and occupancy information; participate in bed meetings.
