Mass General Brigham is seeking an Access RN to lead system-wide coordination, leveraging clinical expertise, situational awareness, and knowledge of MGB hospital capabilities to ensure timely access to care and balance patient flow.

Collaborate with PTAC and site leaders to coordinate bed management, triage information, and cross-network transfers, directing patients to appropriate care pathways for safety and throughput.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN with clinical knowledge in critical care or ED.
• Ability to work independently and make timely decisions.
• Strong communication skills and calm, professional demeanor during high-stress situations.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with hospital bed management teams to support patient movement.
• Triage and place patients using transfer pathways and bed availability data.
• Notify clinicians and update leadership on admissions and transfers.
• Attend daily huddles and represent PTAC during extreme census.
• Make critical decisions directing patients to appropriate care pathways.
• Coordinate transferrals to standardized pathways to reduce ED loads.
