Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Throughput Navigation Coordinator at Navicent Health Medical Center to manage bed placement, patient transport, and throughput in a 24/7 intake setting. You will handle demographic input, eligibility checks, and coordination with nursing leadership to optimize patient flow.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 3 years in related fields, and knowledge of Soarian and EMR systems. Shift is 7P-7A, 0.9 FTE, full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Business, Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, or Customer Service related field.
• Able to collect accurate demographic information and enter in Soarian.
• Able to access payer portals to determine eligibility and coordinate benefits.
• Familiar with EMTALA concepts and patient privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect demographic information and register patients in Soarian.Allocate insurance plans to encounters and determine coordination of benefits.
• Coordinate bed placement and census management to maintain throughput.
• Assist with transfers and notify relevant departments for patient movement.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy during communications.
