Wheeling Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Throughput Registered Nurse to oversee nursing care delivery using the nursing process, with accountability for outcomes and collaboration with providers.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, timely telephone assessments with physicians, and assignment of appropriate bed placement and services. The ideal candidate brings a current RN license (eNLC accepted) and at least five years of nursing experience; BSN/ASN or diploma is preferred, with BSN completion

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state RN license through eNLC.
• Five (5) years nursing experience.
• BSN/ASN or Diploma; BSN completed within 5 years if enrolled in BSN program.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsabilités

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process with shift accountability.
• Review patient information via telephone with physician to determine admission service and level of care.
• Collaborate with providers to achieve quality patient care outcomes.
• Lead in risk reduction by applying standards of care and evidence-based practice.
• Mentor staff and integrate students into the health care team.
