Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Lexington is seeking a Medical Assistant to ensure smooth transitions from check-in to the doctor visit. You will prepare patients for exams, conduct basic health checks, and clearly explain next steps to support quality care.

This onsite role reports to the Center Administrator and focuses on preparing patients, managing the EMR inbox, and coordinating with clinicians to maintain efficient clinical flow.

Qualifications

• Completed MA training program or 3+ years of MA experience.
• Current or in-progress BLS certification.
• Right to work in the United States.
• Able to work the assigned clinic hours.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming: perform intake including medication/allergy verification, patient history, and screenings as needed.
• Inbox & Worklist Management: manage the EMR inbox with routing for patient messages, lab results, and medication follow-ups to maintain clinical flow.
• Education & Loop-Back: ensure patients understand next steps by asking them to repeat instructions in their own words.
