Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities at the Path Services Center or in-office setting. You will collect specimens, interact with clients and patients professionally, and process specimens with accuracy and timeliness according to established procedures.

You will manage data entry, requisitions, and billing information while maintaining logs and statistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical specimen collection.
• Ability to explain venipuncture procedures clearly and calmly.
• Accurate data entry and labeling with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides courteous service.
• Ensures specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens following established procedures and explains venipuncture to patients.
• Disposes of biohazard materials per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions and enters patient and test information into PathGroup systems.
• Maintains records and logs for PSC/IOPST and monthly statistics.
• Performs basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
• Adheres to grooming, PPE, safety, and corporate policies.
