Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC or in-office PST. You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff in a professional manner while performing specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, collecting specimens, documenting data in PathConnect, labeling and preparing samples, maintaining records, and contributing to a positive work environment while ensuring safety and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Phlebotomist Certification preferred (required in some states).
At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
Collects specimens and explains venipuncture clearly to patients.
Labels, centrifuges, and processes specimens per test orders.
Enters patient, specimen, insurance, and billing information accurately in PathConnect.
Maintains daily records and logs for PSC/IOPST.
Performs basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
Ensures compliance with safety and privacy policies.
