Barrow Brain and Spine is a physician-owned specialty practice in Phoenix, focused on neurosurgery and advanced spine care. We seek a Patient Services Specialist to join our front desk team and deliver an outstanding patient experience.

You will handle patient intake, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, update records in AthenaOne and Phreesia, answer phones, and coordinate with physicians and staff to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred (training offered).
• Greet patients, guests, vendors, and visitors warmly.
• Answer telephones and transfer calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient information in AthenaOne and Phreesia databases.
• Collect co-pays and issue receipts.
• Notify physician office/staff of patient arrivals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient paperwork, demographics and insurance information are up to date.
• Collect co-pays and issue receipts as needed.
