Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Patient Services Representative at 200 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215. The role serves as the first contact for patients and visitors, delivering exceptional service while assisting with scheduling, registration and insurance verification in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no weekends and a strong emphasis on patient experience, accuracy, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in medical/billing/customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with Medipac, Epic or similar health records systems preferred.
• Proficient with PC applications, office equipment and typing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist with check-in/check-out.
• Schedule appointments and register patients, verify and collect copays.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist with financial responsibilities.
• Distribute calls and triage to appropriate areas or providers.
• Support administrative tasks including scanning and faxing documents.
