Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Georgetown East location in Texas. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm with no weekends or major holidays.

Level 1 or 2 is based on experience; the position supports patient scheduling, billing, insurance verification, and financial counseling while maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of medical business office experience (Level 1).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years medical business office experience (Level 2).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently schedules new patients, patient referrals and returning patients in the computer system according to guidelines.
• Cancels/reschedules appointments per physician schedule changes and notifies clinic staff.
• Meets with patients to schedule future appointments, procedures, or exams needed.
• Triages and responds to scheduling calls and ensures timely and accurate responses.
• Ensures authorizations and referrals are obtained and attached to appointments to avoid denials or delays in payment.
• Maintains scheduling templates and coordinates with financial counseling when needed.
• Protects patient confidentiality and adheres to policies to improve front office efficiency.
• May arrange outpatient appointments/tests/surgeries and obtain pre-certifications as required.
