Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Experience using EMR systems, EPIC preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Warm welcome: greet patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Manage front-office operations and patient documentation.
• Verify insurance benefits and explain costs to patients.
• Collect payments and handle billing information accurately.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance in all processes.
• Occasional travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
