The position also covers checkout duties, processing referrals, collecting co-pays, posting charges, and guiding patients in portal enrollment.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate degree.
• Preferred: 6 months in healthcare setting.
• Required: AHA BLS.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients entering the physician practice and manage front desk tasks.
• Answer office phones, make and reschedule appointments, confirm appointments.
• Check in patients, collect demographics, enter data into the electronic system, verify insurance.
• Assist in checkout, referral processing, and scheduling processes.
• Collect co-pays and post charges; handle charge entry and patient balances.
• Distribute information about office policies and patient portal enrollment.
