Job summary

Terros Health is hiring a Health Center Relations Specialist for our Desert Cove location in Phoenix, AZ. The role serves as the front line interfacing with patients, handling check-ins, scheduling, and gathering information with professionalism and compassion.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of front office experience in healthcare or related fields and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, and the position is based at Desert Cove in Phoenix.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• At least one year of front office customer-facing service experience in healthcare, behavioral health, dental or medical office preferred.
• Familiarity with health insurance eligibility and electronic health record management systems; NextGen experience preferred.
• Intermediate level of competency in Microsoft Suite and web-based programs.
• Able to multitask, stay organized, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet individuals entering the clinic in a professional and courteous manner.
• Process patient check-ins and notify the appropriate staff of arrivals; update information during auto-flow with a four-point check.
• Review and update daily schedules; collect and maintain patient demographics in compliance with UDS guidelines.
• Understand insurance levels (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans) and various other types.
