Job summary

HEART OF CENTRAL TEXAS INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER INC. is seeking a medical receptionist in Bryan, TX. You will check in patients, schedule appointments, and handle payments in a fast-paced clinic using ECW EMR.

The ideal candidate has prior receptionist experience, strong customer service, and is comfortable multitasking while maintaining accurate patient records and coordinating with multiple doctors. Bilingual is a plus. Shift: Mon-Thu 7:45–4:45, Fri 7:45–12.

Qualifications

• Experience as medical receptionist.
• Familiar with checking in patients and scheduling.
• Experience with insurance benefits/referrals/authorizations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficient in EMR (ECW).
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in promptly and accurately.
• Collect payments from patients for balances, co-pays, and coinsurance.
• Update patient records with ID and insurance at each visit.
• Know insurance benefits/referrals/authorizations.
• Scan/index documents.
• Manage multiple doctors’ schedules.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Be organized and handle downtime efficiently.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Balance daily cash batches.
• Take directives from staff and assist across departments.
• Assist other departments as needed.
