Job summary

Central-Texas-Heart-Center in Bryan, Texas is seeking a dedicated medical receptionist to check in patients, schedule appointments, and assist with basic billing in a fast-paced clinic.

You should be comfortable using ECW EMR, provide outstanding customer service to patients and staff, and maintain accurate records, multi-task across departments, and balance daily payments with cash drawers. Bilingual helpful; full-time, on-site position with health insurance and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a medical receptionist including patient check-in and scheduling appointments.
• Familiarity with ECW EMR systems and strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in promptly and accurately in a fast-paced medical setting.
• Collect payments for balances due, co-pays, and coinsurance.
• Ensure patient information is updated in EMR at each visit (verify ID and insurance).
• Knowledge of insurance benefits, referrals, and authorizations.
• Scan and index documents.
• Manage multiple doctors’ schedules.
• Maintain strong oral and written communication.
• Stay organized and handle downtime efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
