Job summary

SAC Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our frontline team in San Bernardino, CA. You will perform patient check-in/out, verify demographics and insurance, collect copays, and schedule appointments while delivering compassionate, confidential service.

The role requires excellent communication, organization, and ability to work with minimal supervision across multiple sites within SAC Health’s network. EPIC experience is a plus and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service, general office, healthcare related, or vocational training experience.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification/eligibility programs.
• Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients; gather demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine applicable program or payer source.
• Collect copays, post charges, and reconcile daily reports.
• Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments; manage patient flow and records in EMR.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
