Job summary

SAC Health in Indio, CA is hiring a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and schedule visits. The PSR will work under supervision to ensure smooth check-in/out and accurate data entry in the EMR.

Strong communication and confidentiality are essential. Ideal candidates have at least six months in customer service or healthcare admin, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of customer service or office experience preferred; healthcare experience a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not required.
• Proficient in MS Office; ability to use EMR systems and phone/keyboard effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in/out patients; verify demographic and insurance information.
• Collect copays and post charges; handle cashiering per policy.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the EMR.
• Answer phones and provide information on clinic fees and payment programs.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient privacy.
• Balance cash drawer and print closing reports at day end.
