Job summary

Family Care Center in Pflugerville, TX is looking for a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, manage intake, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect copays, and maintain accurate records in our EHR system.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team in a supportive environment that values growth, with a schedule that avoids weekends or evening hours, and a strong emphasis on patient care and community health.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience required.
• One year of medical front desk receptionist experience or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors to the office and directs questions to appropriate staff members.
• Checks patients in and out for their scheduled visit and maintains a 5-Star standard of patient care.
• Schedules, reschedules and cancels patient appointments in alignment with provider schedules and availability.
• Receives and supports patient calls, places reminder calls and confirms appointments for intake patients, assists with patient portal setup.
• Verifies insurance coverage and confirms eligibility for services; gathers necessary patient information.
• Collects co-pays and other payments; reconciles receipts with cash on hand at shift end.
• Ensures patient demographic and insurance information is accurate and complete.
• Retrieves required forms, sequences paperwork, and uploads into the chart; documents in EHR.
• Monitors messages in the EHR, relays info to providers, and maintains accurate medical records.
