Job summary

Sound Physicians in Dallas, TX is seeking a Patient Service Representative for 100% in-office work, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm/5:00pm. You will be the first and last point of contact for patients, handling check-ins/outs, copays, benefits verification, scheduling, and front desk duties.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a professional demeanor in a busy clinical setting. Prior medical front-office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical practice and care and insurance plan payers.
• Knowledge of physician business procedures and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of front office customer service levels.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers and vendors.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with oral and written correspondence.
• Electronic Health Record (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

• Answering and triaging incoming calls.
• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Taking messages and routing to appropriate physician.
• Verifying insurance and obtaining referrals if needed.
• Checking patients in/out.
• Printing and working no-show and cancellations list weekly.
• Overseeing coordination of daily tasks.
• Serving as point of contact for patient escalations.
