Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the friendly first contact for patients, managing front-office tasks and supporting clinic workflow.

The role requires a high school diploma (Medical Administrative Assistant cert a plus), 1+ year in a medical setting, and proficiency with EMR systems such as EPIC; includes 12-hour shifts, some weekends and travel between locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including some weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Warm welcome: greet and assist all patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing patient and business documents.
• Insurance verification: verify benefits, eligibility, and payment policies.
• Determine and collect patient financial responsibility with clarity.
• Collaborate with the practice manager, providers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance in all processes.
