Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a non-exempt medical office front desk professional to support patient flow in our physician practice. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify demographics and insurance, and help ensure smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, accurate data entry, and friendly patient service. A high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred. Experience in healthcare is a plus, with required AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 6 months in healthcare setting
• Required: AHA BLS

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients entering the physician practice; answering office phones; making appointments and rescheduling as needed.
• Check-in patients; collect demographics; enter data into electronic system; verify insurance.
• Assist in checkout; process referrals and scheduling; collect co-pays and post charges.
• Charge entry and patient balance processing; distribute information about policies and the practice.
• Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal.
