The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Associate Lead to coordinate patient support and front desk operations at our Columbus clinics.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, assist with scheduling, and help maintain accurate records in EMR or paper charts. Lead responsibilities include guiding daily office activities, monitoring patient flow, handling payments, and coordinating referrals while delivering compassionate service in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service.
• Strong problem solving and multitasking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills for sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors, registers and checks in patients, updates demographics and insurance in the system.
• Answers patient calls, relays messages, and communicates with referring offices.
• Performs check-out, collects co-pays, schedules returns, and documents post-visit steps.
• Monitors patient wait times and escalates to appropriate staff.
• Opens and routes mail, distributes letters, tracks patient information.
• Requests and handles referrals and medical records for new appointments.
• Schedules appointments as directed.
• Maintains cash drawer and reconciles daily cash; prepares deposits.
• Contacts insurance for registrations or pre-certifications.
• Utilizes job-related software; travel may be required.
• Maintains professionalism and customer service.
