Job summary

The Oregon Clinic in Portland is seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist for the MOHS/Dermatology clinic in the NW area. You will work with a collaborative team to provide high-value, patient-focused service and ensure smooth patient flow.

Primary duties include check-in/out, scheduling, insurance data collection, and handling multi-line calls. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in a medical office, EMR experience (Epic preferred), and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred; Epic is a strong plus.
• Strong customer service skills and experience are preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic; positive attitude and teamwork.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, physicians and team members.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for checking in and out new/established patients.
• Promotes efficient physician scheduling and patient access by properly scheduling and rescheduling surgeries and/or appointments.
• Obtaining and completing insurance information.
• Answering phones on multi-line system.
• Processing of incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
• Updating records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
