Job summary

Mercy Clinic Springfield - Family Medicine Marshfield is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments and perform clerical duties. You will enter patient data, handle calls, assist with insurance questions, and support staff with data entry and billing functions.

Training through Clinic Core Front Desk is required for new hires. Qualifications include a high school diploma and about one year of medical office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of applicable medical office experience preferred.
• New hire must attend Clinic Core Front Desk Training.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and direct them as needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Enter new and established patient information into the computer.
• Answer incoming calls and handle messages.
• Assist with insurance questions and paperwork.
• Support clinic staff with clerical duties and data entry.
• Assist in establishing payment plans and collect payments.
• Coordinate referrals and patient communications.
