Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Midland is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to ensure smooth patient flow and act as the primary contact for clinic patients. You will schedule appointments, prepare necessary paperwork, receive patients, and maintain records across the Midland clinic.

This full-time, day-shift role offers hourly pay and includes a benefits package with health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service or office experience.
• EMR experience (Cerner or EPIC) preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and relay messages to nurses.
• Enter and update patient demographics for clean insurance claim submissions.
• Respond to patient and insurer inquiries, including prior authorizations.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain required authorizations.
• Handle daily cash transactions and end-of-day cash counts.
• Document communications in EMR.
• Attend monthly department meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of TTUHSC policies.
