Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking a Full Time clinic support role to manage patient flow, scheduling, and paperwork for our pediatric and adult clinics. The position serves as the primary contact for patients, processes charges, and maintains records with attention to accuracy and compliance.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least one year in customer service or office work; bilingual English/Spanish and clinical exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of customer service, office, or related experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and relay messages to the nurse.
• Accurately enter and update patient demographics for clean insurance claim submissions.
• Respond quickly to patient and insurer inquiries, including prior authorizations and referrals.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain required authorizations before scheduling appointments.
• Make outgoing calls to patients for reminders and rescheduling.
• Document all communications in EMR and handle daily cash transactions.
