Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking an organized clinic coordinator to ensure smooth patient flow. You will schedule appointments, process charges, and maintain accurate patient records while supporting insurance submissions and communications with patients and providers.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year in customer service or office work; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of customer service, office, or related experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and relay messages to the appropriate nurse.
• Enter and update patient demographics to ensure clean insurance claim submissions.
• Respond to patient and insurer inquiries, including prior authorizations and referrals.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain required authorizations before scheduling appointments.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and maintain EMR documentation.
• Handle cash transactions and end-of-day cash counts.
