Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine in Arizona invites a Patient Services Specialist to join a physician-owned neurosurgery and spine care team. You will prepare the front office, warmly greet patients and visitors, and ensure patient demographics and insurance are accurate.

Responsibilities include updating Centricity/Phreesia records, collecting co-pays, notifying staff of arrivals, answering calls, and contributing to an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred but we are willing to train.

• Ensure that all patient paperwork, demographics, and insurance information is up to date and correct.
• Collect co-pay if necessary and issue receipt.
• Notify physician office and/or clinic staff of patient arrivals.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient information in Centricity and Phreesia databases.
• Answer telephones and transfer caller to appropriate staff member.
• Help create an extraordinary patient experience.

As one of the largest private group practices in the US, BBS is looking for a Patient Services Specialist to join our location. In general, the Patient Services Specialist will:

• Prepare front office for daily activities.
