Job summary

Penn Medicine's CPUP department at the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle unit (PAH Farm Journal Building) seeks a Patient Services Associate (Full Time) to support patient flow, scheduling, and front-end operations in a busy practice.

The PSA will greet and assist patients, collect demographics and insurance information, handle calls, schedule visits, and assist with billing and payments while maintaining patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years of medical office experience, or 4 years of customer service experience required. Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient Service: assist in patient arrival/departure, manage calls and inquiries, schedule appointments, update insurance/billing information, and perform point of service activities.
• Financial: knowledge of insurance requirements, register new patients in EMR, collect copays, reconcile end-of-day receipts, and support front-end reports.
• Other/Regulatory: ensure compliance with federal/state/local standards and adapt to process changes.
