Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Services Rep/Scheduler for Woodstock Imaging to ensure top-quality patient interactions and accurate scheduling. This role handles patient registration, insurance verification, and co-pay collection, supporting a smooth outpatient workflow.

You will greet patients, confirm information, schedule appointments, and coordinate testing while safeguarding patient confidentiality and accuracy in the medical record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years’ experience in a customer service position.
• 1–3 years prior physician office experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register them, verify insurance, collect co-pays and balances.
• Update patient demographics and company information as needed.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Direct and document patient calls; coordinate scheduling of outside testing.
• Serve as liaison between patient and practice; provide back-up for scheduling.
