Job summary

Spokane Eye Clinic, part of Prism Vision Group, is hiring a Patient Service Representative in Spokane, WA. This onsite role supports patient interactions by phone, internet, and in person, manages scheduling, registrations, and billing processes, and helps navigate pre-authorization and referrals.

Responsibilities include verifying demographics and insurance, collecting payments, and guiding patients through policies. Requires 2+ years in a patient-facing role and a GED; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete full registration for patients requesting appointments with attention to policies and accuracy.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure demographic and insurance information is current.
• Verify insurance, benefits, and referrals.
• Obtain ID and insurance cards and validate patient identity and coverage.
• Maintain HIPAA standards and patient privacy.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through the clinical care process.
• Provide information on appointments, parking, and payment policies to patients.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and discuss payment plans with patients.
• Explain financial obligations and collect funds per guidelines.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve care issues.
• Notify necessary parties about appointment times, referrals, and pre-authorizations.
• Train other PSRs and deliver excellent customer service.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
