Job summary

PRISM Vision Group is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Spokane Eye Clinic in Spokane, WA. This onsite role supports inbound/outbound patient interactions, scheduling, and revenue-cycle tasks, ensuring accurate information and smooth clinic flow.

You will handle registrations, insurance verification, financial counseling, and patient communications, upholding HIPAA standards while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in patient-facing healthcare or customer service preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete full registration for appointments with attention to detail.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure demographic and insurance data are accurate.
• Verify insurance information, benefits, and referrals.
• Obtain ID and insurance cards and validate patient identity and coverage.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards and protect patient privacy.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through the care process.
• Provide information on appointments and payment policies.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and discuss payment options.
• Inform patients of financial obligations and collect payments per guidelines.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve issues.
• Notify relevant parties about appointments, referrals, verification, and prior authorizations.
• Train other patient services representatives and deliver excellent customer service.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
