Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator in the Dermatology Clinic at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine. The PSC assists in supporting high-quality patient care, manages the front desk tasks, and coordinates scheduling and referrals to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of medical office experience. Advanced degrees may offset experience; associate degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3+ years of medical office experience.
• Advanced degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Associate degree (AA/AS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager and physicians in maintaining a patient/customer focus and deliver high quality care.
• Handle patient check-in/check-out, registration, appointment scheduling, referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Oversee daily schedule and operations of the assigned area; act as liaison between staff and management to ensure performance expectations are met.
