You will enter patient demographics and billing data in the EMR, collect copays, answer calls, and ensure HIPAA-compliant, confidential service in a rural health setting.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• No prior related experience required.
• Driver's license required.
• Travel to different sites more than 25% of the time.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsabilidades

• Welcomes patients and visitors and answers inquiries or refers questions to staff.
• Handles check-in, check-out, and rescheduling procedures.
• Verifies insurance coverage.
• Collects copays and balances at time of appointment.
• Answers and triages incoming calls.
• Explains office policies, insurance coverage, and services.
• Schedules appointments to optimize provider time and space.
• Enters patient demographics, billing, and insurance data into the EMR.
• Distributes documents to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
• Reviews next-day schedule and follows up on missing paperwork.
• Opens and closes the office per established protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
