Job summary

The Moses Weitzman Health System is seeking a Patient Service Associate to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our Middletown, CT site. You will greet, schedule, and assist patients, manage a busy phone system, and enter data accurately while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or medical office/medical assistant degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Healthcare experience preferred (medical, dental, behavioral health).
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and callers.
• Oversee reception area atmosphere and ensure a welcoming environment.
• Greet patients and assist them as appropriate.
• Review schedules daily and optimize appointment opportunities.
• Schedule/reschedule appointments per CHC guidelines.
• Collect and update patient demographics, insurance information and forms.
• Reconcile patient visits daily.
