Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Southside Urology physician practice. The role focuses on patient registration, demographics verification, insurance verification, and scheduling. You will explain financial options, update medical records, and ensure an excellent patient experience.

The position may require coverage at other physician practice locations as needed. Requires strong communication, customer service, and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient registration or healthcare is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to explain financial options and assist patients if needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and provide courteous, respectful service.
• Schedule appointments and enter information accurately in the system.
• Process patient registrations and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Assist with insurance verification and authorizations as applicable.
• Explain financial options to patients and collect payments or reconcile cash.
• Support other locations as needed.
• Maintain patient charts and documentation per office policy.
