• 1 – 2 years’ related experience preferably in a medical setting with insurance billing.
• Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt to supporting software applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and input all appointments in the scheduling module in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assure all pre-procedure activities are scheduled or completed.
• Greet patients and obtain identification and insurance information to initiate admissions.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical and financial records securely.
• Complete front-end billing registration processes and verify insurance as needed.
• Assist with patient transportation if needed per policy.
• Ensure signatures and chart data are accurate and filed within 24 hours of visits.
• Communicate changes about procedures and insurance to internal parties and the patient.
