Job summary

Eye Associates of Vineland, part of Prism Vision Group, is seeking a Patient Service Representative to handle inbound/outbound patient interactions onsite. You will schedule appointments, complete registrations, verify insurance, and guide patients through the care process while ensuring accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

In this role you’ll also provide upfront financial counseling, collect payments, and help coordinate travel between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2+ years experience in a patient-facing healthcare or customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete full registration for patients requesting appointments with attention to policy and accuracy.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure demographic and insurance information is up to date.
• Verify insurance, benefits, and referrals.
• Obtain IDs and validate identity and coverage before services.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards for patient privacy.
• Ensure smooth patient flow through the care process.
• Provide information on appointments, parking, and costs.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and set up payment plans.
• Explain financial obligations and collect funds per guidelines.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve issues.
• Notify relevant parties of appointments, referrals, and authorizations.
• Train other PSRs and maintain excellent customer service.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
